Viet-Cajun Fried Prawns: A Mix of all Flavors!

  1. Get the Prawns Ready: Wash them with cold water, dry them with tissue paper, and keep them aside.
  2. Make the batter: Take a bowl, and add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, flour, salt, cornstarch, and Cajun seasoning. Now mix them well and keep them aside. Setup Buttermilk in another bowl.
  3. Coat the Prawn: Dip the Prawn one by one in the Buttermilk, then cover it with flour mixture till they are coated well.
  4. Frying the Prawns: Take a pan and add vegetable oil to it and heat it until it’s hot. Now take the coated Prawns and fry them in the oil for around 3 to 4 minutes till they get crispy and golden brown. Take them out using a small spotted spoon and drain the extra oil with the help of tissue papers or towels.
  5. Make the Viet-Cajun Sauce: Take the Butter and melt it in a pan over a medium flame. Add smashed garlic and salute it to 30 seconds. Add fish sauce and chili paste to it. Stir them equally, and at the end add lime juice, then simmer it for at least 2 minutes.
  6. Toss Prawns in Sauce: So, once all the prawns are fried, flip them softly and gently in the buttery spicy sauce till they are fully covered.
  7. Serve: Now Lastly, garnish the fried Prawns with lemon slices and fresh cilantro and you are ready with your yummy recipe. Now it is ready to serve. Enjoy when it is hot with rice, noodles, or you can take it up alone to have its unique taste.
